INVESTMENT PROPOSAL

The Motion Picture Alliance was founded in 2008 with the specific purpose of financing and producing european motion pictures for worldwide theatrical and DVD releases. Having its headquarters in London, the MPA encourages investment in the burgeoning UK Film industry by means of public offerings of shares under the Government's Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS).
This scheme was introduced in 1994 to encourage individuals to invest in small higher-risk trading companies as a means to help alleviate the problems faced by such companies in raising equity finance. The scheme provides income tax relief for new equity investment for qualifying investors in qualifying unquoted companies, and capital gains tax exemption on disposal of shares.

The Motion Picture Alliance combines filmmakers worldwide from Hollywood to New York, London to Sydney. It is a group of talented filmmakers, business people and artists to combine their forces to create amazing entertainment that will primarily be filmed and produced in the United Kingdom but also throughout Europe. It is MPAs goal to bring also the amazing UK home-grown art to the big screen globally, whether it is writing, acting, production or direction. Trained actors will collaborate with technical camera crews under artistic direction based on a skilled screenwriter's story.

The tax incentives available through the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) often act as the initial attraction for potential investors, but there are added bonuses for those who invest with the Motion Picture Alliance in which investors are invited to visit the set whilst filming, to meet the cast and crew, and investors are even given the option to appear on camera themselves as extras.
